Hamlet goes to Wallerstein

Klasse.

Hamlet is the prince of Denmark. (…269) His father (the king), also called Hamlet, died not long ago and his brother Claudius has taken the throne. (…270/ …288/ )He married Hamlet’s mother Gertrude. (…244/ …255)
One day Hamlet sees a ghost that tells him Claudius killed Old Hamlet. (…245/..274/…257/ …291)
The news is a big shock for the boy. He can hardly believe that his uncle is a murderer. What is to do? His uncle must die! The prince must get revenge for his father’s murder. He even thinks about killing himself.
To be or not to be – that’s the question! (…258/…294/
He pretends to drive crazy. Hamlet’s girlfriend Ophelia doesn’t understand her mixed-up friend, his behavior has driven her crazy. So she is found dead in the river. (…278)
Ophelia’s brother Laertes is furious with Hamlet now. There is a big sword fight which kills both of them. As Hamlet is dying, he manages to kill Claudius. (…248/…280/…298)
Queen Gertrude drinks a cup of poison that Claudius had prepared for Hamlet. (…263/…284)
So at the end more or less all the main characters are dead.
